First book from this author I've read.

On the cover of this book there is a quote saying Kenyon is a voice similar to King's Salems' Lot. I can see why they said that. I read Salems' Lot around a year ago and I could definately see similar writing styles. The main similarity would be the set up and tension building beginning. There is a lot of character development in the first half of the book and building of the books "feeling" or "atmosphere" that really pulls you in. This really helped draw me into the characters and the story and really lets you into the world that Kenyon created. Where some books are so fast-paced that when your done they almost become forgetable (even though fun) because you never really get drawn into a moment before you are rushed on to the the next event. With this book you get mentally invested with the story and characters which gives it more lasting appeal.

Kenyon is a very good writer and I look forward to reading more from him.

Not what I expecte

This book in the preview was touted as being akin to Steven King in his Salem Lot era. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had a difficult time even finishing it, hoping it would get better and redeem itself and me for wasting my time.
Blood and Gore abounds and there is too much explanation
Of every event. I do not recommend it.

Horror story more than mystery

This is well crafted, good writing and good character development. That being said, my opinion is YUCK. It is Steven King-ish and much more suspense than mystery. It should be reclassified. I won't read this author again but if you are a horror fan, this is your book.

Great ending to the Trilogy!!

Wow! What a great ending to this series!! Be warned, if you haven't read books 1 & 2, do not read this review!

Picking up right where the last book left off, Tora is now experiencing what she assumes her father felt when he was wrongly accused and sent to jail. Seth is more upset about how this will affect his political career, and the information that Tora has turned up in the Manning Mansion has taken Jack out of her corner. Tora is once again alone and struggling with not only how to free her father, but also how to get herself out of this latest mess. So much happens in this book that you won't believe, but you won't be able to put it down. I read it until I fell asleep for a few nights--just too good. Jayne Blue has a definite way of capturing the reader's attention and maintaining it for the entire ride.

After you read the Torrid Trilogy, you need to go straight into the Great Wolves MC series--first book is about Tora's father Dex.

I really loved the last book to this trilogy! Jack and Tora's story brought all kinds of emotions to the surface, Love, Anger, and most of all passion! I did want a little more of their happiness ever after story...lol.....well now I am off to Tora's Dad story. I Love Dex and his love for his family....and his club.....Awesome job Jayne Blue..... You have me hooked...I love how your books tie together!

Love and Pain.

Just finished the third of the series. Wow, loved the entire story. Had so many twist and turns. Tora was one strong women. She was not going to stop until she got to the real truth. Jack finally stop existing and finally learn to live life. The bad guys got what they deserved. Great series don't miss it. It has everything love, hate, sex, pain. Worth every penny you pay for it.

Ordered this book through Amazon from Big Hearted Books. Book was used and listed in "Like New" condition. When the book was received it actually was 'Well Used'. Multiple highlights and writing throughout the book and many folded/creased pages. Hardly what I would call "Like New".
