Excellent book on color

I have bought numerous books on color theory and this book is the best. It's not a scholarly epistle but very practical and shows great knowledge. I am about halfway through the series of exercises and have learned a great deal. I have been painting for many years and have new insight.

Another Fabulous Damon Brand book has been released!!

Having read and used all of the Damon Brand books (with the exception of The Magickal Job Seeker - because I don't need it- but may purchase to help someone else in the future) I immediately ordered the physical copy this morning when I saw that it had been released! I subscribe to kindle unlimited so I gave it a quick read through already. Like all of his previous books, this is AMAZING ! I am so impressed that I changed the shipping speed on my order so that I can get it sooner and start a ritual next thursday. (not really necessary to wait for the physical version, as the electronic version suffices just fine- it's just my old fashioned personal preference.) I highly recommend all of his books. If you read them and follow the instructions you will obtain the results you seek, without harmful side-effects. I have been studying and practicing in the occult since the mid- 90's and Damon Brands books/methods are by far the best, most streamlined, sensible, REAL and workable approach to practical magick that I have seen. Purchase one book and try it. You'll end up wanting them all! No worries though, because they are very affordable and worth much much more than their weight in gold. FYI I have no affiliation whatsoever with the author, his publisher or the Gallery of Magick - except that I have purchased the books.

Occult made easy for those with the courage to try...

For those of you who have read my previous review, I've decided to change it for comprehension purposes.

To be short, sweet and to the point, do not fool yourself into thinking The Gallery's occult books require less courage, tenacity, brazen, or will because they are so clever in their delivery. Like every other book teaching on occult practice, you need to go into this with no fear of dogma, heaven, hell, consequences, etc. You need to understand that these are occult books, you will be communicating with entities, and sometimes these entities will make themselves present. If you're not used to this or have no desire to cross that line, there are plenty of wonderful books on manifestation that will help you achieve your desires, which may simply better resonate with you.

With that having been said, these rituals are concise, the variety of options are properly diverse, and I feel Damon and the Gallery truly did a remarkable job. They took what are usually very complicated and complex rituals that require years of Enochian and Kabbalistic understanding into simple rituals that are easy to comprehend. Magick really doesn't have to be hard, you don't have to wear cloaks or invest in altar's, but you still need to understand what you're getting into all the same.

I won't go into specifically which rituals I have done, but I can tell you they've all worked and some entities have made contact with me. I've gone into rituals seeing some results the first day. In fact, there's one ritual I'm happy to discuss, which was the ritual for finding lost objects. My dog ran away twice, walking out my door without his collar, tags... nothing to identify him with. Fearing the worst, I realized it was Thursday and immediately performed the ritual for missing items. Is my dog an item? No, but that doesn't matter. What did matter was my desire. The following day my niece was walking outside and, in the matter of a moment, this lady walked outside with our dog on a leash. She could have walked our dog out an hour before, or even 5 minutes after my niece was outside, but she didn't. The meeting between this lady and my niece was perfectly timed, and it was amazing.

The second time our dog ran out the door I thought it would be almost impossible for the same lady to have him, so now what? I roamed aimlessly looking for him, just frustrated and ready to give up. It was a random day of the week but I decided to not care and performed the same ritual. I chose to no care about the day of the week because as my desire was the only thing that mattered. Not even 8 hours later, I heard my dog bark outside, and a different neighbor was walking him on a leash right outside my door. This was not a coincidence, it was synchronicity. This story isn't about our dog not wearing his collar on the days he left, it's about even the most obscure magick working and delivering amazing results. No one was obligated to bring my dog back. I live in an apartment complex next to the wilderness where it's easy for an animal his size to be eaten, lost or stolen. Considering he had no identification, I'm more than amazed and very grateful indeed.

I had HUGE success with the first 24 (I have had 8 confirmed results), started two more from this book, and am already experiencing signs of positive impact. After 3 nights!

PaPa Ob Long: The Animals' Great Journey

ISBN 0849958245 - Printed in the United States of America. I got the feeling, from the text on the back cover, that this book might have been originally sold with a CD or cassette of Leroy Blankenship's song. If that's the case, I feel like I really missed out on something, because mine didn't have a CD. That's a strange thing to say, for me, that I feel like I missed out on something, because I'm as much religious as I am related to the main character of the story (a giraffe).

Giraffes hum and, so the story goes, they hum only one song - the song of Ob Long. Ob grew up just like any other giraffe. He met and fell in love with Skippa and they led a peaceful life until, one day, when a strange butterfly, unlike any they'd ever seen before, brought them a message. God needed Ob and Skippa to follow the butterfly and, if that's what God needed, that's what they would do. When they reached the end of that journey, another began. The animals came to Noah, who was building a very large boat according to God's directions. When the boat was finished, the animals boarded and the rain came. The animals were safe and taken care of until the rain stopped and God painted a rainbow across the sky, a promise that never again would he destroy the world with a flood.

The story is obviously quite well known, but this telling of it is uniquely appealing to young children, told from the perspective of the animals. The back cover says the book is for ages 3 to 8, although younger children will need it to be read to them. Illustrator Kelly Magladry's images are superb. They're rich, colorful and vibrantly detailed.

Non-Christian families will have little use for this book.

The depth and imagery used in the novel construction indicated that it was written to the young readers, and particularly, to her peer group. Notwithstanding, having splendid control of thoughts, ideas, and imagination with brilliant balance, the vividness and luminosity of this young author revealed great literary potential and value. In fact, this narrator shows great brilliant and skill as she takes you through an adventure of romance and suspense-filled settings that are strikingly consistent with the title. Indeed, she demonstrated the talent and flair of a gifted young author. Despite the superfluous use of strong language and sexual images, this novel ended beautifully, as if there was an epiphany at the conclusion.

Hard book to get your hand on in the states. It's regular used in British schools who offer the A-Level exams--a little like A.P. exams found in many American high schools. It's a fine collection of (mostly British) short stories. Sometimes you can find it through Barnes and Noble a little bit easier than Amazon
